Questions
How accurate are the counts?
Word counts treat Latin letter runs and individual CJK characters as words. Sentences split on . ! ? and common CJK punctuation. These are practical estimates — not editorial or legal standards.
What is the text size limit?
The tool and API accept up to 100,000 characters per request. Larger documents need to be split before counting.
Does the browser tool send my text anywhere?
No. Counts on this page run entirely in your browser. Only the API sends text to our servers when you call it programmatically with your key.
What happens when I exceed the free API tier?
Free accounts include 1,000 API requests per calendar month. After that, each request costs $0.05 until the month resets.
Can I cancel the paid plan?
Yes. Manage billing from your Winovate account. Cancel before the trial ends if you do not want to be charged the monthly subscription.
